The King of Irony

So, my friend and I were having a conversation in a Homestuck AU we've dubbed Ironystuck. This is one of the scenes that came up in it. I left out Eridan (Dirk's humble servant), Kanaya (Dirk's wife), their children (who happen to look like kittens), and Karkat (who lives in the bubbles, is super chill, and likes grooming llamas), but hey, there's always time for another drawing sometime.

The sad thing is that this is the longest I've spent on any drawing in ages- probably about five or six hours. Three or four's generally been my max in the past. This was done in SAI. Please excuse the wonky anatomy. I hate hands, and I've never tried to draw a dinosaur before.
